Planning, Design, and Decor: Museum of BBQ Event Planner Open House
Last month, we had the opportunity to work with the newly opened Museum of BBQ to plan an Event Planner Open House, to introduce corporate and non-profit event professionals to the space. The Museum of BBQ opened in April in Crown Center, and is an immersive, colorful environment that encourages you to play while you learn about the elements and regions of American barbecue.
There are so many fun aspects about hosting your event at the Museum! Not only do you receive access to tour the museum, you can add on event activations, like a “make your own rub” station and custom gift bags. At the Open House, we set up a BBQ sauce tasting station, and we had a sample station of the Museum’s exclusive beer collaboration with Boulevard Brewing - MO BBQ. Did I mention you can take your food and drink into the museum with you, too?
We had Burnt End BBQ cater the event, with Polished Pour Bartending behind the bar, and sweets from Daised Bakeshop. Click Fun Photo Booth came through with innovative “name tags” - photo buttons with branding and your name, followed by an AI photo booth once guests finished their tours. In addition to the event planning, we also set up our champagne wall and brought in table decor to match the Museum’s theme.
Born and raised in Kansas, we’re big fans of BBQ, especially Kansas City style BBQ, so this was such a fun event to be involved with. Check out some of the event photos from Piper Reese Photography!
As always, if you need any help with planning your next event or decor rentals, please get in touch here. Be sure to check out the complete vendor list with links at the end of this post.
Guests were welcomed with our custom champagne wall, offering champagne and sparkling grape juice.
